Triactive Media Moves to Fully Managed Azure Cloud Deployments
Standarizing all new Phoenix deployments to a fully managed Azure cloud model to ensure consistent performance, stronger security, and faster support response times.
Triactive Media has announced that all new Phoenix eCommerce and Customer Portal deployments will now be delivered exclusively in a Triactive-managed Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
Previously, customers could choose between on-premise hosting or Triactive-managed Azure cloud. Over time, we found that customer-managed environments often introduced performance and security variables outside our control.
Common on-premise challenges included:
- Improper network configurations
- Under-provisioned or aging hardware
- Suboptimal SQL Server setups
- Inconsistent patching and maintenance
These issues frequently resulted in poor performance unrelated to the Phoenix application itself.
Security was another key factor. Many on-premise deployments lacked enterprise-grade protections such as a Web Application Firewall (WAF), leaving websites exposed to unnecessary or malicious traffic.
Under the Azure-only model, customers benefit from:
- Enterprise-grade Web Application Firewall protection
- Centralized monitoring and threat mitigation
- Consistent infrastructure standards
- Managed updates and security patching
Additionally, increasing MFA/2FA requirements, expiring credentials, VPN dependencies, and device-based authentication changes made rapid emergency troubleshooting more difficult in customer-managed networks.
By standardizing on Triactive-managed Azure, we maintain secure, direct infrastructure access—allowing faster response times and greater operational stability.
Existing on-premise customers will continue to receive the same level of support. However, all new deployments moving forward will be Azure-only.
This decision reflects our commitment to delivering consistent performance, stronger security, and the highest product quality for every Phoenix customer.
