The Beginning

E-Commerce Comes to Prophet 21

Our history begins with B2B Seller, Epicor's original integrated e-commerce and customer self-service portal for Prophet 21. The platform gave distributors an important new way to serve customers online by providing access to real-time pricing, availability, quotes, orders, invoices and account information.

B2B Seller demonstrated the value of connecting a distributor's website directly to Prophet 21. As customer expectations changed, distributors began looking for stronger product content, search, mobile usability, merchandising and website-management capabilities.

2011

Triactive Media Is Founded

Triactive Media was founded in response to the growing need for specialized Prophet 21 e-commerce knowledge. From the beginning, the company focused exclusively on helping distributors transform their online portals into meaningful sales and customer-service tools.

Working closely with distributors revealed that each business had unique requirements, but many faced the same underlying limitations. Triactive developed a reusable framework of enhancements that extended B2B Seller beyond its original capabilities.

Built Around Distributor Needs

Triactive's capabilities expanded through direct collaboration with Prophet 21 distributors across the United States, Canada, Australia and other markets.

That experience created more than a collection of website enhancements. It produced a deep understanding of distributor pricing, inventory, fulfillment, customer accounts, product information and the workflows required to support complex B2B transactions online.

2014–2018

The Market Changes

In 2014, Epicor introduced E-Commerce Connect as its next-generation e-commerce offering for Prophet 21. B2B Seller entered the legacy stage of its lifecycle, creating an important decision for Triactive and the distributors that depended on its enhanced functionality.

Continuing to build around a legacy third-party platform would eventually limit what could be delivered. Triactive and its customers began evaluating a more sustainable path: a purpose-built platform informed by everything they had learned together.

2018

Phoenix Takes Shape

In 2018, Triactive formed a customer council consisting of five Prophet 21 distributors. Together, the group defined the foundation of a new e-commerce platform that would preserve the capabilities distributors relied upon while moving beyond the limitations of B2B Seller.

That platform became Phoenix: an e-commerce and product-information solution developed by Triactive Media specifically for Prophet 21 distributors.

Phoenix Today

From Customer Portal to Commerce Platform

Phoenix has grown into a comprehensive B2B e-commerce and PIM platform supporting the operational complexity of modern distribution.

It brings together Prophet 21 integration, real-time customer information, product-content management, customer-specific pricing, multi-location availability, online account services, punchout connectivity and high-volume ordering workflows.

Phoenix continues to evolve through the same process that created it: listening to distributors, solving practical problems and turning proven solutions into capabilities that benefit the entire platform.
