New Jersey — 2026 — Triactive Media and Berenson have announced a strategic partnership to integrate the Phoenix eCommerce platform directly into Berenson’s Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) ERP system.
After operating on a previous eCommerce platform, Berenson determined that continued growth required a more flexible and ERP-centric solution. Custom enhancements on their prior system were costly, slow to implement, and frequently introduced regressions that disrupted other functionality. Even routine changes became an uphill battle, limiting innovation and responsiveness.
With extensive internal eCommerce expertise, Berenson presented Triactive with hundreds of detailed requirements spanning user experience, product structure, ERP connectivity, and operational workflows. Through multiple discovery sessions and structured technical reviews, both teams aligned on architecture and scope before initiating development.
A primary requirement for the new Phoenix implementation was advanced product grouping and configuration. Berenson needed the ability to group like items — such as cabinet knobs available in multiple materials and sizes — into a unified product experience that allows customers to easily configure selections for their projects while maintaining real-time pricing and availability from Prophet 21.
During requirements analysis, certain capabilities were identified as enhancements beyond the existing Phoenix feature set. Rather than relying on workarounds, these features were incorporated directly into the Phoenix framework, ensuring native integration with P21 APIs, performance stability, and long-term maintainability.
The partnership delivers several key outcomes:
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to precision requirements gathering, technical transparency, and ERP-first commerce architecture. With Phoenix as its foundation, Berenson now operates on a platform purpose-built for Prophet 21 distributors and engineered for long-term growth.
